42% of women have experienced period poverty in their lifetime (study from Dignity Grows). Trans men, or other non cis bodies that mensurate have an ever higher rate of period poverty. This affects the ability to go to school or work. Lack of access to period products or using (and reusing) products for too long can cause severe health problems. Menstruators that are homeless experience period poverty at an increased rate.
